River Water Levels are Where Water Officials Want Them
Apr. 22, 2005

OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Weber and Ogden rivers may look like they are running high, but they are just where water officials want them.

National Weather Service hydrologist Brian McInerney says the snowpack, runoff and weather for the Ogden and Weber basins have been normal.

He said, "It is exactly what we wanted at this point.

The Ogden River looks high because the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District has been releasing enough water to keep Pineview Dam at its current level.
